The 35th NUSS–PAUM Games, held from 24 to 25 October 2025 in Singapore, once again brought together the alumni communities of the National University of Singapore Society (NUSS) and Persatuan Alumni Universiti Malaya (PAUM) for a weekend of spirited competition and enduring bonds.
First organised in 1984, the Games were founded on a shared aspiration to strengthen ties between graduates of two distinguished regional institutions. Over the decades, this annual event has evolved into a cherished tradition that celebrates not only sporting excellence but also the enduring camaraderie that unites both alumni societies across borders.
This year’s milestone edition saw over 200 participants from NUSS and PAUM competing across eight sports – golf, badminton, tennis, squash, table tennis, soccer, bowling, and, for the first time, pickleball. Matches were held at venues including Orchid Country Club, Punggol Community Club, and Kent Ridge Guild House, where the Prize Presentation Dinner concluded two days of exhilarating play and warm fellowship.
Every event brimmed with energy, friendly rivalry, and good humour – a true reflection of the spirit of sportsmanship. Beyond the scores and trophies, the Games offered an opportunity to reconnect, forge new ties, and celebrate the shared history that continues to unite both societies. Laughter and cheers echoed through the courts and fields, reminding all that the most meaningful victories are found in connection and community.
NUSS extends heartfelt appreciation to our friends from PAUM, led by Tan Sri Abd Razak Abd Latiff and Mr Huda, for their participation and warm sportsmanship, as well as to all players, convenors, volunteers, and sponsors for their invaluable contributions.
As the evening drew to a close on a high note, participants raised their glasses to the continued success of this enduring partnership between both societies – and to the 36th NUSS–PAUM Games in Malaysia in 2026, where the spirit of unity and goodwill will no doubt continue to shine brightly.
